Royal fans were treated to a rare glimpse into the private lives of the Cambridge children this week and it seems Princess Kate and Prince William aren’t quite on the same page.

During her visit to RAF Coningsby on Thursday, the Princess of Wales charmed young onlookers, including 10 year old Robin Sansum, by sharing insights about her children’s hobbies.

Kate revealed that while Princes George and Louis are enjoying football, Princess Charlotte has taken to hockey a small, relatable peek into royal family life that delighted fans.

However, her  comments appear to contradict Prince William’s recent television interview, where he described Charlotte’s sporting interests differently.

As Kate departed the station, some 90 minutes behind schedule, she apologised with characteristic grace, “I’m sorry, I totally outstayed my welcome!”

Prince William gave viewers a rare glimpse into family life during his appearance on The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy, welcoming the actor to Windsor Castle.

The Prince opened up about the sporting pursuits of his three children, aged 12, 10, and seven.

“Louis loves the trampoline, so he’s obsessed with trampolining, and actually Charlotte does a lot as well,” he shared. “As far as I can tell, they just end up jumping up and down on the trampoline, beating each other up most of the time.”

He also revealed that Charlotte keeps busy with netball and ballet, while George enjoys football and hockey.

Interestingly, Kate had previously mentioned that George and Louis play football and that Charlotte plays hockey.

William gently corrected the record, clarifying that George actually plays hockey, and Charlotte is currently learning netball alongside her ballet lessons.
