Very few people have seen panic on a cruise ship, besides watching it on Netflix.
Recently a viral video has surfaced online where a woman is seen trapped in a waterslide hanging above the ocean.
What came next left netizens shocked. If you have not watched the ending yet, it will definitely leave you even more curious.
The incident happened on September 19, 2025, on a Norwegian Cruise Line’s Bliss during a week-long Alaskan cruise near Victoria, British Columbia.
The Ocean Loops, a name given to the waterslide on the Cruise Line Bliss, is a death-defying dual loop ride, extending 11 feet past the ship’s exterior and elevated 159 feet above the sea.
The 13-second TikTok video by a user with the account handle @Kaylamierzejewski spotlights the visibly anxious passenger trying to inch her way through the transparent tube as bystanders express alarm.
One onlooker shouts, “Oh my God, she’s literally stuck,” when the clip cuts off.
The viral video has so far garnered over 7 million views, creating buzz and panic among social media users worldwide.
The cruise ship in question is linked to Norwegian Bliss; however, the surfaced video didn’t confirm the identity of the ship.
Reports from People suggested that the vessel indeed resembled Norwegian Cruise Line’s Bliss, which features a dual loop ride known as Ocean Loops.
As per the details available on the cruise tracking site CruiseMapper, Bliss was on a week-long Alaskan cruise near Victoria, British Columbia, at the time.
Social media users reacted with panic. One user commented, “Anyone else having a panic attack watching this?”
Another one jumped in and wrote, “Stuck in a waterslide over the actual ocean would send me into a psychosis.”
Many viewers are of the view that the viral video has made them terrified of ever trying cruise waterslides again.
