Prince Harry and Meghan Markle received good news about their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's future reunion with their royal cousins.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who stepped down from their senior royal roles in 2020, reside in Montecito with their little ones.
However, in recent times, Harry showed concerns as his kids are not familiar with their royal roots due to the feud between the Sussexes and the royals.
Claims have also been made that there are no chances of Archie and Lilibet's key roles in Prince William's reign.
However, Kate Williams, a royal expert, wrote in the Telegraph that the reunion between the royal cousins could take place in future.
She penned, "There is, however, a rich tradition of friendship and support between adult royal cousins in Britain, which points to a way in which the fissure between the Waleses and the Sussexes might be bridged in future, should the younger generation seek to establish their own bond as they grow older."
The royal commentator shed light on how the royals have been using their cousins as a "secret weapon" since Queen Elizabeth's time.
She quoted the example of the Duke of Kent, and his wife, Katharine, Duke of Kent’s brother, Prince Michael of Kent, and sister, Princess Alexandra and Richard, Duke of Gloucester, have carried out numerous engagements to support the monarchy.
Kate stated, "All of these examples would suggest that there is much to gain for the monarch and the family members concerned, in enduring bonds between royal cousins."
Speaking about Archie and Lilibet forging a bond with the Wales kids, the expert added, "And perhaps one day the cousins will stand together on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, side by side with the future King George."
