Jerusalem outskirts bus stop witnessed a shooting incident on Monday, September 08, 2025, which left 6 people killed and 8 injured.

Israel's ambulance service confirmed that the victims included a 50-year-old man, a woman in her fifties, and three men in their thirties, with eight victims sustaining serious gunshot wounds.

Israeli police reported that two attackers arrived by car and opened fire at Ramot Junction before being fatally shot by a security officer and a civilian.

"Suddenly I hear the shots starting, I felt like I was running for an eternity, I thought I was going to die," Ester Lugasi, who was injured in the attack, told Israeli TV from hospital.

The assailants were found with several weapons, ammunition, and a knife.

No group immediately claimed responsibility, though it is alleged that Hamas and Islamic Jihad praised the attack while not directly affiliating with it, reports NBC.

In addition to that, the incident occurred in a part of Jerusalem, illegally occupied by Israel in 1967 and later acquired by a move not recognized internationally.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convened security officials for assessment following the attack, while military forces deployed to the area and conducted operations in the West Bank.

The country's transportation hubs encountered the third major attack since late 2023, reflecting ongoing tensions in the region.

Paramedics described the scene as very severe, with multiple victims found unconscious on roads and sidewalks.
