Taylor Swift's major decision about this year’s MTV VMA revealed
Pop icon is nominated for Artist of the Year alongside Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar and others
Taylor Swift is reportedly not attending this year’s MTV Video Music Awards on September 7 despite her major nomination.
According to E! News, Taylor has decided to skip the award ceremony, which will be held at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.
Sharing real reason behind her absence at the event, the outlet reported that Taylor will accompany her fiancé Travis Kelce who is all set to kick off the NFL season for the Kansas City Chiefs tonight (September 5) in a game against the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil.
It is pertinent to mention that this will be Taylor's first time Taylor to miss the event since 2021.
Interestingly, the pop star is reportedly nominated for Artist of the Year alongside Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Morgan Wallen and The Weeknd.
Back in 2024, the Cruel Summer crooner first time mentioned about Travis as her then-boyfriend while accepting her award for Video of the Year for Fortnight with Post Malone.
Taylor also initiated grand album announcements by beginning her Midnights era while accepting the same award for All Too Well: The Short Film in 2022.
Meanwhile, the songstress is all set to release her new album, The Life of a Showgirl on October 3.
