Rob Reiner and wife Michele Reiner's death certificate revealed more insights into the couple's murder.
The official document revealed that the 78-year-old director and his wife's death occurred after "multiple sharp force injuries" caused “with [a] knife, by another," via People.
The couple passed away within in few minutes after the initial trauma caused by the injury, as listed in the certificate.
The fatality document also revealed that Rob was the first one to be discovered dead inside his Los Angeles home on December 14 at about 3:45 p.m while Micehele, mentioned as Rob's “widowed” was found dead one minute later.
Their bodies have been cremated as per the official document.
The late couple's youngest son, Nick, 32, was arrested the same day they were found murdered and was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in his parents' killing. He is under custody without bail.
Recently, multiple outlets reported, Nick was taking medication for schizophrenia before his parents' murder.
It is pertinent to mention that Rob and Michele are also parents to daughter Romy and son Jake. Rob also adopted daughter Tracy, who was the daughter of his ex-wife, Penny Marshall.
Romy and Jake recently revealed in a statement that a memorial service to honor Rob and Michele will be held "at a later date."
