George, Amal Clooney reflects on finding each other
George Clooney makes sweet admission about Amal Clooney
George and Amal Clooney feel "very lucky" and "very happy" to have each other.
The couple tied the knot in 2014 and it’s been almost 12 years since their marriage. They also share two children together.
Recently, speaking with People Magazine at The Albies at London’s Natural History Museum, the couple reflected on their long standing marriage and shared that they consider themselves “very lucky.”
“If you choose the most incredible person, then it all goes well from there,” Amal said.
The husband joked, “She looked at me; she was talking about herself, of course." Adding, “No, we’re just … We feel very lucky, very happy to have found each other."
When he was asked to name what he admired most about his wife, George responded, “That’s a longer, longer show.”
For those unaware, The Albies is an award ceremony, which was created by George and Amal in 2022 through their Clooney Foundation for Justice. Moreover it honors people who risk their lives or freedom to take a stand for human rights and justice.
Explaining the annual event, George Clooney said, “We designed this to shine a light on people who are risking their lives or risking their freedom to stand up for the things that they believe in, and we believe in. And so, shining a light on those people when some of us can’t get a light off of us, is pretty nice to shine on the people that really should have it on them."
“And for us, it’s a way to say thank you to all of those who supported us in our work because we’re not alone either, and that’s why we’ve been able to have the impact that we’ve had,” Amal added.
