Kate Middleton shares mental health message a day after Prince Harry discusses depression
Kate Middleton's’ charity releases a video message on World Mental Health Day
Princess Kate’s Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood on Monday marked World Mental Health Day with a message highlighting the role nature plays in the foundations of lifelong mental health.
The organization released a video message on its official Instagram account with the caption: "The foundations of lifelong mental health are built in the earliest years.
For babies and young children, time in nature offers something increasingly precious: space to move freely, explore without pressure and simply be. In a world that often feels fast-paced, nature can provide moments of calm and stillness, as well as fun and adventure that supports children's wellbeing from the very start. For #WorldMentalHealthDay, we're recognising the important role that nature can play in helping babies and young children thrive."
The Prince and Princess of Wales's Instagram account also liked the post shared by Early Childhood.
It came a day after Prince Harry said he fell into depression when he took a break from royal duties in 2019 before he formally stepped down. He told a videocast about grief, where he also discussed feeling "emotionally numb" after his mother died.
Harry, the younger son of King Charles, has been open about his mental health struggles and how the sudden death of his mother, Princess Diana, in a car crash when he was 12 has affected his life.
