Jessica Biel opens up about son Silas' unexpected reaction to her new role

Jessica Biel has opened up about her son Silas Timberlake's reaction to her role in Matchbox: The Movie.

In an interview with People Magazine, the wife of Justin Timberlake shared her son was less than impressed with one particular detail of her in the film. She said, "My son, Silas, was very concerned about the green dress [I wore in the movie]. He was like, ‘What are you wearing, Mom? Yuck.’"

For those unaware, Jessica shares two sons, Silas born in 2015 and Phineas born in 2020, with her partner Justin Timberlake.  The couple tied the knot in 2012 in Fasano, Puglia, southern Italy.

The actress admitted that revealing the outfit to her children also triggered a moment of parental anxiety.

"I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is intense for them to be seeing this dress," she added.

Despite fashion criticism, Jessica shared that her sons appeared to enjoy the film, which also stars John Cena. "Their reviews are like, ‘Yeah, it was awesome. Obviously, it’s cool.” That’s how they talk about it."

Previously, speaking with E! News, Jessica shared that Silas made cameo in the movie. She said, "He plays a small part in this in the movie at the very end, which is really cute."

Matchbox: The Movie premiered on Apple TV on October 9.
