Princess Kate takes on teacher role during museum visit
The royal couple visited London's Natural History Museum for their first engagement after the holidays
Prince William and Princess Kate turned heads during the much-awaited public appearance following the summer break.
The future Queen and King visited London's Natural History Museum for their first engagement after the holidays.
Arriving at the museum, Kate- Patron of the Natural History Museum, debuted a bold blonde hair colour as she helped shield primary school children from September downpour.
The royal couple greeted children in the rain at the Museum's gardens.
Once inside, the royals took part in a workshop, helping the children identify animals encased in blocks and find their regular habitats.
When asked by a teacher about their findings, Kate said the children in her group 'decided spiders are everywhere.'
At one point, William rested his arm on one teacher's damp shoulders and said: 'Are you wet? We got you inside in time.'
The royal couple was warmly greeted by the museum's director, Dough Gurr, before heading inside to officially kick off the return to their royal duties.
The Princess is currently super heading a project,' Mother nature.'
The summer episode of the Mother Nature Films was released last month.
The outing comes after Kate shared how reconnecting with nature has supported her cancer recovery.
For context, Kate and the rest of the royal family spent last month on holiday at Balmoral last.
