Princess Kate's 'cancer hair' furiously defended by royal hairstylist
The Princess of Wales has debuted a new blonde look which have left fans divided
Kate Middleton surprised royal watchers when she stepped out for the first time in weeks with a shocking new look.
On September 4, Princess Kate joined Prince William for a visit to the Natural History Museum. But it was the Princess of Wales’ new blonde locks that sparked a wave of online criticism — and Princess Diana’s former hairdresser wasn’t having it.
Sam McKnight, who styled the late Princess Diana’s iconic looks, leapt to Kate’s defense after trolls picked her apart.
“I am shocked, horrified, dismayed and disgusted by all the nasty comments about the Princess of Wales today. A woman’s hair is very personal to her, its armour, defence, confidence, and so much more,” he wrote on Instagram.
McKnight didn’t hold back, calling out the cruelty aimed at a woman recovering from cancer.
“I cannot believe how evil and lacking in any kind of empathy are the comments, the majority made by other women, attacking a vulnerable other young woman,” he continued.
“Cancer affects individuals differently, but [it] is life-changing for everyone. So [expletive] leave her alone. Shame on you.”
When asked why cancer should factor into the conversation, McKnight explained that hair often changes dramatically during and after treatment.
