Sydney Sweeney, Scooter Braun spent Labor Day together amid ‘casual’ romance

Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun appear to be growing closer after their relationship recently became public.

Sources tell PEOPLE that the Anyone But You star, 27, and the former music manager, 44, spent Labor Day weekend together in Lake Tahoe. 

Their time by the water stretched from Friday through Monday as they continue “to get to know one another,” according to an insider.

“He’s loving spending time with her and seeing where things go,” a source shared about Braun. Another insider described their connection as a “casual romance” that had quietly been developing for months before the news broke.

In fact, the two were already close when they attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy, back in June. 

“They hung out in Italy for the Bezos wedding,” a source close to Sweeney revealed.

“Syd was intrigued, Scooter’s a charmer. He’s confident, but also sweet and very attentive.” While the source noted, “He’s not really her type,” they added that “she enjoyed the attention.”

Sweeney, who ended her engagement to Jonathan Davino, 42, earlier this year, is said to be focused on her professional goals.
