Jennifer Aniston’s comment on ‘childbirth’ sparks backlash online
'The Morning Show' star compares filming her TV show to childbirth in a magazine interview
Jennifer Aniston's recent statement on comparing her TV show shoot to childbirth process has triggered backlash online.
The Friends alum reportedly made bold declaration in a joint interview with Glamour magazine along with The Morning Show costars including Reese Witherspoon, Marion Cotillard, Karen Pittman and Nicole Beharie.
While discussing the upcoming season of Apple TV+ series, Aniston compared filming the TV show to childbirth, saying, “I kind of compare it to what childbirth must be like when my friends are like, 'You just kind of forget what it was, and then next thing you know you're knocked up again.’”
“And having that same agony of pushing that watermelon out of a tiny little pinhole and then you just get to do it again,” continued the 56-year-old.
Interestingly, the Murder Mystery actress stated that she does feel “there's something extraordinary about finishing a season and not saying those words of, ‘I'm done’”.
After the interview published on September 2, Aniston had faced brutal criticism online with one wrote on social media, “What a daft thing to say.”
Another user remarked, “How would she know? She’s pathetic.”
“Says someone who's never birthed a child. How pathetic. Celebrities are so over,” said a third one.
Someone also took a dig at her acting, adding, “This woman can't act or do anything of substance.”
“Jen is definitely just as similar to her Friends character Rachel. Spoilt, out of touch princess!” added a fourth one.
Meanwhile, there were a few who defended the actress, saying, people should read the entire article to understand her point of view and not jump to the conclusion after reading headlines.
