The US President, Donald Trump, has recently announced that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place in Washington this December. In the midst of growing hype, Trump jokes about his participation in the upcoming event.
Standing alongside FIFA chief Gianni Infantino at the White House, Trump gave a humorous response to a question asked by a reporter.
The reporter asked the President, “Will you take part in upcoming FIFA events?”
Trump gave a witty reply, saying, “ I may play. I see the money these soccer players make. I am a very good athlete and my son is also a good soccer player.”
While talking about his appearance during the events, he quipped, “I may put on shorts. I look extremely good in shorts.”
Given Trump's comical reply about his participation, the social media users are praising his good sense of humour.
