Meghan Markle claps back at royal fans who trolled Prince Harry
The Duchess of Sussex breaks her silence months after her podcast appearance sparked backlash
Meghan Markle isn’t letting the trolls have the last word.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, doubled down on her feelings for her husband Prince Harry by sharing a new Instagram video of him surfing on Friday, August 22.
“We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming to bring you this important message,” she wrote in the caption, adding a single fox emoji as Salt-N-Pepa’s Whatta Man played in the background.
The post comes months after Meghan, during her appearance on the Jamie Kern Lima Show in April, described her husband as “such a great partner” before adding, “He’s also a fox, if you haven’t noticed.” She went on to call him “very, very handsome” with a heart “even more beautiful.”
But that lighthearted remark sparked a wave of trolling, with critics mocking Meghan’s words by resurfacing unflattering pictures of Harry online.
Rather than retreating, Meghan leaned in, turning the nickname into a playful badge of honour with her latest post.
Earlier this month, the couple were spotted spending the summer at the beach with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, who are both enrolled in surfing lessons at the Surf Happens institute in California.
