William risks 'becoming less connected to people' amid Forest Lodge move
Forest Lodge is an eight-bedroom residence
Prince William and Princess Kate are set to move to Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, which they are calling their new 'forever home' later this year, reported The Sun.
An expert has weighed in on the situation, warning that downsizing the monarchy could come at a huge price.
For context, Forest Lodge is an eight-bedroom residence, and it is believed that William, Kate and their three children, George, Louis and Charlotte will live there once William becomes King.
Insiders say the family is hoping for a 'fresh start' after a tense time at Adelaide Cottage. The last three years have been especially tough for the Wales family, with the death of Queen Elizabeth in 2022 and cancer diagnosis for both King Charles and Princess Kate.
It has also been reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales will pay a market rent for Forest Lodge.
Building work is already underway, with the Wales family expected to move in by the end of 2025.
However, Royal commentator and journalist Robert Jobson told The Sun: 'Prince William could become les connected to the people.'
'I think you have got to be careful what you wish for.'
Royal expert Matt Wilkon added, Prince William does not want the life lived by King Charles or the late Queen Elizabeth, as he prefers to raise his children in the countryside.
'His life is different to what King Charles is,' he said.
