Putin surprises Alaskan man with motorcycle during Trump summit
The American biker was gifted a motorbike from Vladimir Putin during Alaska summit
A local man in Anchorage has reportedly received a new motorcycle as a gift from Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to a report published by Russian state television, the surprisingly heartfelt gesture happened during the Alaska summit between Putin and US President Donald Trump.
Andrei Ledenev, a worker of the Russian embassy in the United States, gave the Alaskan man, Mark Warren, the keys to his new Ural motorcycle in the car park of the Anchorage hotel.
Ledenev greeted Warren and told him, “I have to say that this is a personal gift from the President of the Russian Federation.”
Warren has received his gift from Russian president heart-warmingly, according to Russian channel
“It’s night and day. I like my old one, but this one is obviously much better. I am speechless. It’s amazing. Thank you very much,” Warren said.
The surprise gift came on the heels of an encounter between Warren and Russian state television Channel 1 in Anchorage before the summit.
Warren, during the news reporting, talked about the implications of sanctions placed on Russia after its invasion of Ukraine. He shed light on difficulties he faced while maintaining his bike. It has also become difficult to find spare parts for the bike because the manufacturing plant is “located in Ukraine.”
The reporters also praised Warren’s bike, which is manufactured by Ural whose original factory was founded in 1941.
