Princess Beatrice throws herself in royal role to deflect Andrew scandals
Prince Andrew gets ignored as Princess Beatrice finds important cause to highlight
Princess Beatrice is focusing on all the good things taking place for her in life as her father Prince Andrew’s worst scandals are making headlines.
The eldest daughter of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson marked her 37th birthday on Friday amid the release of historian Andrew Lownie’s blistering biography about Beatrice’s parents.
Despite the damaging headlines for the Duke and Duchess of York, Beatrice received love from her sister, Eugenie, and marked the special day surrounded by loved ones.
Moreover, she also received high-praise from a charity that she became a patron to in 2013. Suffering from dyslexia herself, King Charles’s niece supported Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity.
Former CEO Andy Cook shared that Beatrice’s involvement was “brilliant” for them due to her “high-profile”.
“She felt her dyslexia so strongly that she knows so much about it, and she knew about us already as a charity. She’d received a bit of help for her dyslexia, so she wasn’t just here as a figurehead; she really wanted to get involved and stuck in,” Cook told Express UK.
“She’s really on a mission to inspire people to see that dyslexia can be positive. It might not always feel like that, but it can be when you get the help that you can get.
He continued, “She helped us with putting out appeals during Covid to say we’re still open, and when we were needing funds, when we couldn’t run any fundraising events, she put out a piece to camera for us to use asking for donations.”
Cook highlighted that there is still “loads” Beatrice does for the charity and “throws herself into being a patron of the charity”.
