Sentebale’s ex-Board of Trustees are calling Dr Chanduaka “pitiful” as she refuses to back down from her bullying allegations against former patron Prince Harry.
After a months-long internal investigation, the Duke of Sussex was cleared of any wrongdoing and was seemingly ready to close the bitter chapter with the African charity he founded in 2006 in late mom Princess Diana’s memory.
But according to GB News, Dr Chanduaka is not happy with the “flurry of unflattering headlines” about her since then.
The ex-trustees — who resigned earlier this year amid a bitter row with the chairwoman — accused the chairwoman of being “back on the warpath” despite “just yesterday… applauding the Charity Commission’s findings.”
A source close to the former board told the outlet, “If Ms Chanduaka has genuine concerns, she should spell them out plainly or, better yet, redirect her energy toward something truly worthwhile, like raising money for the children Sentebale."
They added, “Rehashing unsubstantiated allegations of bullying, misogyny and more, which the Commission found no evidence of and dressing them up as veiled threats isn’t just provocative, it’s pitiful.”
Prince Harry along with co-founder Prince Seeiso announced their resignation from Sentebale back in March in a show of solidarity with the former trustees. An internal investigation was subsequently launched.
In their verdict issued on August 6, the Charity Commission cleared both sides — Prince Harry along with the former trustees versus the chairwoman — but criticised them for letting the conflict “play out publicly” and damaging the charity’s “reputation.”
Hence, “issuing another media statement only reinforces the Commission's criticism about using the press to air internal disputes,” the GB News source noted.
