King Charles takes powerful decision about William, Kate royal roles
King Charles signals major shift in Prince William, Princess Kate's royal powers
King Charles has granted more authority to Prince William and Princess Kate during his ongoing cancer treatment.
According to The Examiner, the monarch aims to limit his involvement in significant royal duties in order to focus on his medical treatment.
In order to make things smooth, the King is "leaning" on the Prince and Princess of Wales to take charge of the monarchy.
"...It’s very clear he’s seeing them as the future of the monarchy, which is exciting but also puts a ton of pressure on them both because they don’t want to let him down," an insider shared.
For the unversed, William and Catherine also had a challenging 2024 due to the Princess of Wales' shocking cancer diagnosis. However, the couple is now returning to the spotlight with more royal engagements.
Speaking of King Charles' health, the source revealed that he is doing fine and "still does plenty" of royal duties, but he "simply can’t do everything he used to, so they [William and Kate] are being called on to step up in a big way."
Notably, the future King and Queen not only increase their public presence but are also involved in strategic discussions for the betterment of the firm.
"The workload and responsibilities are ramped way up; they’re now involved in all the big picture discussions," the report claimed.
As per an insider, the biggest challenge Prince William is facing is to align his modern monarchy ideas with the vision of his father.
It is important to note that Buckingham Palace announced King Charles' cancer diagnosis in February 2024. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
