Josh Allen, the Buffalo Bills quarterback, recently won hearts as he had touching moments with fans at Bills camp.
The Bills captain decided to spend some time with fans to sign autographs after an intense practice session in 88-degree heat in Pittsford, New York, on Tuesday, July 29.
Several video clips from the scene have gone viral on social media, garnering widespread praise for the acclaimed athlete.
One of the video clips shows Allen removing his hat in honour of servicemen present in the fan lane to get an autograph. He shook hands with all those in uniform and then signed the objects brought by them.
As soon as he was ready to leave, the 29-year-old football quarterback noticed a young fan crying after missing a once-in-a-lifetime chance to get an autograph from her favourite player.
Allen turned back, hugged the little girl assuring her that everything was alright and then signed the poster she brought, giving her a forever memory. He then signed 30 more autographs before turning back.
Netizens appeared to be loving this humble act from the sportsman as one wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “Hard not to root for this guy.” Another chimed in, “The people’s quarterback.”
A third netizen penned, “You cannot hate that guy man. What it’s all about right there.”
Allen was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 and he led the team to the AFC Championship game last season. The team lost to the Chiefs, which denied Allen a chance to play in the Super Bowl for the first time.
