Kensington Palace shares important message after King's key decision
Prince and Princess of Wales share a heartwarming clip about one of the world's most beautiful creature
Prince William and Princess Kate's office have released a very important message after King Charles III's historic decision about Princess Anne.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a heartwarming clip about one of the world's most beautiful creatures, with a message of support and help to protect the beauty of nature
Kensington Palace wrote: "Today marks the start of the #BigButterflyCount!"
The message continued: "From now until 10th August, join thousands across the UK in spotting and recording butterflies to help protect these vital pollinators. It only takes 15 minutes to do in any green space from your local park, garden or balcony!"
People are being urged to count the butteries and moths they see to help experts assess the butterfly emergency.
According to experts, a healthy butterfly population indicates a healthy environment. Simon Saville from Butterfly Conservation, which runs the project, said the health of butterfly populations was a "really good indicator" of how well other wildlife was doing.
William and Kate's post comes after Princess Anne, known as the ‘hardest-working Royal', has been given a special honour in recognition of her milestone birthday.
The Royal Mint announced that the very first coin featuring the Princess Royal's face has been created to recognise her 75th birthday on 15 August.
The new honour recognises Anne's service, as the coin’s minted with the words "duty and devotion" around the perimeter, along with the words "Princess Royal" and "celebrating 75 years".
