Meghan Markle hosts party in Montecito amid backlash from Harry's home
Prince Harry's 'sweet' wife Meghan Markle receives love from special friend
Meghan Markle seemingly turned a deaf ear to the serious backlash coming from her husband, Prince Harry's home country, the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex hosted an intimate get-together at her mansion in Montecito to celebrate the Fourth of July.
Kelly McKee Zajfan, who was also featured on Meghan's Netflix cooking show, gave a rare insight into the Sussexes' party on her official Instagram account.
In a photo shared on social media, Meghan's close pal enjoyed a delicious-looking cocktail, which was prepared by the Duchess herself.
She wrote, "Here’s to freedom, to friendship, and to finding moments of joy wherever we can."
Kelly added, "Grateful for this day, this sunshine, and this perfectly chilled cocktail. Thank you, sweet M!"
At the end of her message, the co-founder of Alliance of Moms wished Americans "a safe, sparkly, and love-filled Fourth of July."
It is pertinent to note that Meghan Markle received love and support from her friend after a royal commentator claimed that the former Suits actress saw Harry as a "stepping stone" to "fame and fortune."
Royal expert Phil Dampier told The Sun that the Duchess of Sussex proved the royal family's fears true by seemingly using the Duke for her own benefit.
