King Charles did not make cancer an excuse and entered into a new chapter of his life on November 14 with the same determination and resilience.

He celebrated his 77th birthday not by resting but, instead, by performing several engagements, sending a message to the world that he will continue serving his country and its people.

Heaping praise on the monarch, royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror that she was not surprised to see the King "racing around the country, carrying out as many engagements as he can fit in – despite his long-suffering wife’s appeals to take things a little more slowly because of his cancer."

Charles seems determined to ensure that the drama caused by his disgraced brother Andrew, as well as the never-ending controversy surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's exit, does not overshadow the positive contributions made by the royal family.

However, it has been a while since Buckingham Palace gave an update on the King's current health status, raising concerns among fans.

Will King Charles continue to rule? Will Prince William take over his father's crown? Questions like these exist in people's minds.

In February 2024, it was announced that the King had been diagnosed with cancer. Since then, he has been undergoing medical treatment to fight the deadly disease.

During his visit to a hospital in the West Midlands in September, Charles met a fellow cancer patient and comforted the ailing person with a light-hearted comment.

Prince Harry's father said that "the terrible thing, as I'm discovering already, bits don't work so well, do they once you get past 70," hinting at the difficulties that come as one ages.

Now, Jennie seemingly addressed the queries of worried royal fans, claiming that the King is not going anywhere as retirement "simply isn’t on the job description of being monarch."

The royal commentator said that King Charles believes "if you are going to do a job, then you should do it to the very best of your ability."
