Wimbledon welcomes back Sarah Ferguson after 24 year hiatus
Duchess of York's pleasant Wimbledon return stuns spectators
Sarah Ferguson makes surprise Wimbledon appearance after 24 year hiatus.
The Duchess of York appeared in great spirits along with her stylish daughter Princess Beatrice at Wimbledon's opening day today, marking the first visit to the tournament since 2001.
The 36-year-old royal and ex wife of Prince Andrew Fergie, were seen enjoying the matches from the prestigious Royal Box at SW19. The outing is a notable return for Fergie, who was once a frequent attendee of the Championships during the 1980's and 1990's, often spotted alongside her close friend, the late Princess Diana.
This mother-daughter appearance comes as Wimbledon kicks off what could be its hottest opening day on record. The Royal Box today hosts a star-studded guest list, including football icon David Beckham, actor Eddie Redmayne, and author Richard Osman.
Also among the day's high-profile attendees are singer Ronan Keating and Harry Potter star Jason Isaacs.
Adding to the royal connections, architect Dara Huang has also confirmed her attendance.
Notably, Beatrice is the stepmother of Huang's son, Wolfie, whom she shares with her ex-partner, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The architect shared her excitement by asking her followers to help choose an outfit for the prestigious tennis tournament.
