Prince William is said to have finally found peace over the breakdown of his once-close bond with Prince Harry, with a royal expert revealing the future king has “moved on.”

The relationship between the royal brothers has been strained since Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020, and tensions reached new heights following the release of Harry’s explosive memoir Spare in 2023.

The book reportedly deepened the divide, painting a raw and unfiltered picture of their private struggles.

According to The Sun’s royal editor Matt Wilkinson, the Prince of Wales had been "quietly seething" about the rift for some time. However, he believes that chapter has now closed.

"I get the impression he was possibly quietly seething for a long time," Wilkinson said. "But that headspace, as they describe it, he’s clear now."

Matt Wilkinson explains, "He’s not kind of, you know, personally grieving or seething about what’s happened to his brother. He’s just parked that and he’s moved on."

This change in attitude was echoed by a friend in The Sunday Times, who noted William’s transformation to a calmer mindset: "He just doesn’t mention it at all … It’s sad, but it’s a much healthier space for him to be at"

A People interview highlights William’s current state of mind: he’s in a “healthier space,” described by a friend as having moved beyond anger and resentment

The focus now lies on managing his duties and supporting Princess Kate and King Charles through their health challenges.

Meanwhile, royal commentator Jennie Bond confirms The Prince of Wales' approach is pragmatic, prioritising the stability of the monarchy over personal grievances.

She notes he’s come to accept the current family dynamic and is preparing to lead without Harry’s involvement

While Prince Harry has expressed a desire for reconciliation telling the BBC he wants “reconciliation with my family” and hopes “there’s no point in continuing to fight anymore”
