Royal Lodge is the residence of Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson
Meghan Markle once made an awkward mistake after meeting Prince Andrew-a moment that left Prince Harry both amused and slightly baffled.
During early days of their relationship, Harry introduced Meghan to several members of the Royal Family, including King Charles (then Prince of Wales), Prince William, and the Princess of Wales, Kate But one of the most significant introductions was to to his late grandmother, Queen ELizabeth and it took place at a rather unexpected location.
According to revelations shared in the Channel 5 documentary The Battle For Royal Lodge: Andrew vs Charles, the encounter unfolded at Royal Lodge, the residence of Prince Andrew and his former wife, Sarah Ferguson.
It was there that Meghan received a last-minute crash course on royal protocol, including how to properly curtsy, with help from Fergie.
Following what appeared to be a pleasant visit, the Queen rose to leave and was accompanied to the door by her son, Prince Andrew, who was carrying her handbag.
It was then that Meghan made a curious observation. In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry recounts how Meghan, watching the Queen depart, turned to him and inquired about her 'assistant'. Initially confused, Harry asked her to clarify whom she sent.
