Prince Harry makes emotional plea for children as William takes stern step
Harry, Meghan's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's royal future at risk
Prince Harry urged to protect the future of his children after reports suggested that his estranged brother, Prince William, has made decisions regarding Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet's place in the royal household.
On June 27, the Duke of Sussex took centre stage at the 2025 NEXUS Global Summit, in New York City.
As a surprise featured speaker, Harry spoke to a room full of next-generation philanthropists, social entrepreneurs, artists, and impact leaders from more than 70 countries at the annual Summit.
During the conversation, the father-of-two opened up about the impact of service and the role one should play in building a better tomorrow for the young generation and strengthening communities.
Notably, Harry emphasised taking measures which will protect children in the future on stage.
As per People, the former working royals encouraged attendees to "take care of each other and our children in the future" and to "tackle the systems instead of the symptoms keeping us down."
Harry's emotional appeal for safeguarding the future of young people came after a report stating that Archie and Lilibet would not have any roles during the reign of the Prince of Wales.
This news highlighted the ongoing rift between the Sussexes and the royal family.
