King Charles faces big problem ahead of high-profile meeting with Trump
Palace aide reportedly sends King Charles' concerns to UK government officials
King Charles received an upsetting update from the UK government ahead of Donald Trump’s visit to England.
It is important to note that the President of the United States received a personal letter from the monarch in which he extended an invitation for a UK state visit, which is expected to take place in September.
The King would like to talk to Trump to create harmony after his shocking comments about making Canada the 51st state of America.
On the other hand, the UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer eyeing the tour to strengthen the relations with the US government as Trump is quite fascinated by the royal family.
As per The Times, the royals hoped for a "more leisurely and considered approach, building towards a full state visit," the source claimed.
It has been claimed the Palace aide told Government officials that "the King did not want to fête Trump with a state visit while the President was 'impugning his sovereignty' over Canada."
Notably, Donald Trump was last hosted in the UK by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2019. The upcoming visit will be his second official meeting with royals.
