Prince William formed a special bond with a key figure as his love story with Princess Kate began.
According to a royal expert, the future King turns to his father-in-law, Michael Middleton, for advice as he is playing key roles ahead of ascending the throne.
In the podcast Dynasty: The Royal Family's Most Challenging Year, Katie Nicholl called Catherine's father, a "really wonderful" addition to William's life.
She said, "I know they have a close relationship, and that William will often turn to Michael for advice."
The royal commentator added, "He has a great sense of humour and I think he's someone who is a cool head in a crisis."
Katie's co-host, Erin Vanderhoof believes that the Middletons brought "normalcy" to the Prince of Wales's life which he lacked.
"I think, as kind of a man as King Charles is, he was not necessarily the warmest, most open person," she shared.
It is important to note that Carole and Michael Middleton were also featured in Princess Kate's emotional video, sharing that she has completed her chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis.
In the video which was released in September 2024, the royal couple's children, George, Charlotte and Louis, were seen spending time with their grandparents, as their mother was recovering from a serious health problem.
