King Charles receives surprising multi-million deal from Marvel Studios
Royal family set to receive eye-watering sum after massive deal comes through
Meghan Markle may not be the only Hollywood link to the royal family now that the Palace received an interesting offer from a massive studio.
The monarch has been offered “millions” as Marvel plans to shoot scenes for Avengers: Doomsday over the summer in Windsor Great Park.
Around 300 members of the cast and crew are set to wandering about the royal estate in the summer as the much-anticipated blockbuster will be filmed, according to a report by The Sun.
“Several million pounds is chicken feed to Marvel when their movies make billions,” a source revealed. “But the money will go to the upkeep of Windsor Great Park so the King of course has a keen interest.”
They continued, “Some of the profits of Crown Estates make their way to the Royal Family so it’s a win-win for everyone.”
The Windsor Great Park is owned by Crown Estates and King Charles receives 25 per cent of its annual profits.
The latest instalment of the Avengers movie has a massive ensemble cast with Robert Downey Jr returning in a villainous role. Moreover, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Sir Ian McKellan, Pedro Pascal and many others are featured.
It is possible that members of the royal family, including Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children, could drop by to meet the cast and crew.
“The Royal Family may even be persuaded to pop by and have a look at Thor in action,” the source said.
When asked for a comment, a spokesman for The Crown Estates did not want to comment.
