King Charles shares delightful news about Buckingham Palace in fresh statement
Prince William and Kate Middleton gave a special nod to King Charles as the royal family marked a key event.
On June 22, the monarch commemorated Windrush Day, honouring the contribution of the Caribbean men, women and children who arrived in Britain after the severe outcomes of the Second World War to help rebuild the country.
The 76-year-old King revealed that portraits of key members of the Windrush Generation are displayed on the walls of Buckingham Palace.
On Instagram, the Palace's spokesperson released delightful photos, stating, "In 2023, the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush to British shores, The King commissioned ten artists to create portraits of ten pioneering members of the Windrush Generation."
"These portraits are now proudly hung in Buckingham Palace," the message reads.
As King Charles issued an important update about the Palace, the Prince and Princess of Wales left a heart reaction over the new post on the royal family's page, showcasing their support for the monarch.
