Princess Catharina-Amalia, the Dutch heir to the throne makes a brave comeback just a week after undergoing surgery to treat a serious injury sustained in a horse-riding incident.

On Wednesday, Princess Catharina-Amalia returns to public life alongside her father, King Willem-Alexander, as they attended the ceremony for the presentation of a new standard to the Princess Catharina-Amalia Hussar Regiment at the Prince Bernhard Barracks in Amersfoort.
During the powerful comeback, the Princess and the King interacted with the troops and posed for photographs with the soldiers, before King Willem-Alexander delivered an inspiring speech.
For the occasion, Princess chose a red floral mini dress with long sleeves. Observers noted that her injured arm remained bandaged and was supported by a sling around her neck.
The Princess also briefly spoke with local media, sharing that she would not be returning to horse riding 'anytime soon.'
Following the incident, King Willem-Alexander praised his daughter's strength and composure, stating: 'I can say that I was very impressed by how brave she was with immense pain. And that she took it very calmly. We are very proud of her, how she got through the operation.'
Princess is still pursuing her studies in Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics at the University of Amsterdam.
