Meghan Markle finally brings Prince Harry on-board as he makes final attempt to send message to King Charles
Prince Harry begrudgingly follows his wife Meghan Markle’s lead for a major decision even though he still carries fears about his family.
The As Ever Founder returned to Instagram earlier this year, when she launched her Netflix series With Love, Meghan, followed by her lifestyle brand. She has often teased rare glimpses of her children, but never revealing their full face.
The Duke of Sussex has been estranged from the royal family since nearly three years as the rift widened following the Sussexes public comments and Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare.
Harry has sparsely returned to his home country since his exit in 2020 but Meghan has only returned in 2022 to attend the funeral of the late Queen Elizabeth. Meanwhile, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have not visited UK as Harry deems it unsafe for his family.
Even after their move to the US, the couple did not share any photos of the children except for one-year-old Lilibet on her first birthday in 2021. The move is understood to be a special measure to protect the privacy of the young children.
However, while Harry still fears for the safety of his family, he is willing to forego his strict stance in a desperate attempt to reconcile with his cancer-stricken father King Charles, per an insider cited by The Daily Mail.
“Harry is completely heartbroken,” the source said. “His dad refuses to see him or the kids - not even on Zoom... It’s a last resort.”
They added that Harry is “desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realise what he's missing”.
Even though Harry made repeated attempts to reach out to his father over the years by “calls, letters” but “nothing's worked”. They told the outlet, “This is his way of saying, 'Look at what you're missing.”
The update comes after it was revealed that one of the “biggest divisive” debates among the Sussexes is their children’s privacy. Newsweek’s Chief Royal Correspondent Jack Royston Harry takes a “hard-line” approach with it which is why the children’s faces are hidden. Otherwise, Meghan would “rather just put pictures of their faces on Instagram and not worry too much about it
