Prince William, Kate Middleton await orders as King undergoes treatment
Major shifts are coming behind doors of Buckingham Palace amid King Charles' cancer
King Charles' cancer treatment made the entire royal family especially Prince William and Princess Kate on alert about the "inevitable transition."
In February 2024, Buckingham Palace left the world in shock by announcing the monarch's cancer diagnosis. After a month, Princess Kate also revealed that she is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
Fortunately, Catherine has completed her treatment and is currently in remission from cancer.
However, the King is still receiving treatment to fight the undisclosed form of cancer.
Now, People Magazine reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales await "major shifts" in the coming days amid the monarch's health woes.
Kate Middleton, who gradually marked her return to royal duties at the beginning of 2025, is "being sensible, listening to what her body is telling her and easing back into public life," said royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith.
She said that the mother-of-three "projected the confidence of someone who has enthusiastically reconnected with her public duties."
But, an insider claimed that the Waleses and their inner circle are "preparing" for any kind of transition with their trusted team.
"There are some major shifts coming behind the scenes. They are really finessing what works and what doesn’t," the source said.
