Prince William makes meaningful plea in new video before Trooping the Colour
Future King William heaps praise on 'unsung heroes' in new episode of 'Guardians'
Prince William raised awareness about a concerning problem in a new episode of his headline-making docuseries, Guardians.
On June 13, a short video clip was released on the Prince and Princess of Wales and United For Wild Life Instagram page, featuring the future King lauding the 'unsung heroes' protecting rhinos in South Africa.
The father-of-three made a meaningful appeal, calling the officials to make "cross-border" efforts to support rangers as they are putting their lives at risk to safeguard critically endangered rhinos.
Alongside the video, the statement reads, "Kruger National Park’s Head Ranger Cathy Dreyer and rangers Felicia and Lucas work tirelessly to tackle the poaching of critically endangered rhinos in South Africa, and rescue and rehabilitate the orphaned calves left behind."
"If left unchallenged the current poaching crisis could lead to the extinction of both black and white rhino species in the next few decades."
"Creating long-term safety for rhinos and the rangers that protect them requires collaborative, cross-border efforts."
It is important to note that Prince William's appearance in the latest episode came ahead of royal family's reunion at Trooping the Colour.
