Queen taught Prince William golden rule of Royal balcony appearances
The Queen appeared displeased that William was momentarily hidden from the public eye
Trooping the Colour is set to arrive soon, with Buckingham Palace and the Royal Family preparing to mark the King's official birthday.
There have been a lot of memories associated with this grand event in the past and it has also not been without its awkward moments for the royals.
There was one special moment happened in 2016, when a light-hearted scolding from the late Queen Elizabeth II caught public attention.
During that year's celebrations, Prince William found himself on the receiving end of his grandmother's firm but gentle rebuke while standing on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the flypast.
As Princess Charlotte-then just over a year old-was held by her mother, Kate, young Prince George, aged three, was being cared for by Prince William.
In an effort to explain the flypast to his curious son, William crouched down to speak with George, unintentionally blocking the view of the crowd gathered below.
Noticing this, the Queen appeared displeased that William was momentarily hidden from the public eye.
She leaned towards him and reportedly said,' Stand up, William. Don't crouch.' The Prince rose to his feet right away, looking slightly embarrassed but amused by his grandmother's quick correction.
