The monarch received a warm welcome from the enthusiastic crowds during his surprise market visit
King Charles praised for his charming looks during a surprise visit to Old Spitalfields Market in East London on Thursday, as he braved the rain to meet members of the public.
The monarch received a warm welcome from the enthusiastic crowds and was eager to shake hand and exchange few words with him.
In a moment that left many surprised as the 75-year-old King crossed a busy street to enter the bustling market without traffic being halted, a move that stunned onlookers. While security was present, they allowed the King to engage with the public in an open and relaxed atmosphere.
During his tour, King Charles stopped by an antiques stall where vendor Paul Brimmer offered him a 'special discount' on a vintage watch-and then joked, 'Oh, but you do not carry cash.'
Brimmer did not stop there. He added with a smile,' You are more handsome in real life than on the telly.'
It is important to mention that the Royal visit was part of King Charles's engagement with the South by Southwest(SXSW) Festival in Shoreditch, marking the first time the renowned Texas-born event has taken place in London.
