King Charles just earned the approval of hundreds of thousands of Swifties around the globe, including his grandchildren Prince George and Princess Charlotte.
On the morning of Thursday, June 5, King Charles III visited SXSW London for the Shoreditch festival — a culture, technology and creativity festival in Shoreditch, East London. This marked the first time that the festival, originating in Texas, was hosted in Europe.
After His Majesty met musicians, artists, and even locals, a video compilation of his attendance at the festival was later shared on the official royal family Instagram page.
And to royal watchers’ surprise, the video was aptly set to Taylor Swift’s song London Boy from her 2019 album Lover, speculated to have been written about her then-boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
Fans immediately took to the comments section to marvel at the unexpected crossover.
“His grandkids love Taylor Swift, I guess so does his Majesty,” wrote one user.
“Love the fact they used a Taylor Swift song… princess Charlotte approved,” commented another.
Indeed, George and Charlotte — the oldest of Prince William and Princess Kate’s three children — are huge fans of Taylor Swift.
In fact, they’re such huge fans that the Prince of Wales took them to Swift’s London Eras Tour concert back in June 2024 as he celebrated his 42nd birthday.
The trio even snapped a selfie with the pop superstar, which the doting dad shared to social media.
Swift also posted a snap to her social media, showing George and Charlotte posing with Taylor and her boyfriend Travis Kelce.
