‘Sad’ King Charles bracing for Prince Harry’s next bitter move

King Charles seems to be waiting for the next ball to drop after learning of the hurtful move by his son, Prince Harry.

The monarch is said be to “deeply hurt” after it was revealed that Harry had plans to drop his surname ‘Mountbatten-Windsor’ and take Princess Diana’s surname ‘Spencer’.

This is the second major blow from the Duke of Sussex hurled at his cancer-stricken father in almost a month’s time.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams suggested that Harry must have felt really bitter to think about such a drastic step.

“For Harry to consider doing this, he must still feel very embittered,” he told Fox News Digital.

He also speculated that after the latest blow, the King will “regard this with great sadness”.

Moreover, this also poses a new alert for the Palace as they are left to wonder, “what will Harry think up next?”

Early in May, Harry sat down for an interview with BBC immediately after the verdict on his security appeal left him “gutted”. In the interview, Harry implied that the UK government body, Ravec, would be responsible if something were to happen to his “father’s grandchildren” referencing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

He had also noted that he was open to a reconciliation as he did not know “how long [his] father has left”, stirring new speculation about the King’s health despite Palace’s reassurances.

Earlier this week, Royal Editor Richard Eden had shared that Harry had reached out to his uncle, Charles Spencer, to ask if he could take up the Spencer surname. Although, Diana’s younger brother had advised against it.

Meanwhile, royal expert Hilary Fordwich told the outlet that Charles is “so puzzled by Harry’s constant revelations”.

As a result, it’s now “beyond sensitive” to discuss anything with his younger son, so “he avoids all interaction” with Harry.

She noted that the King is “so kind but overwhelmed and has quite enough on his plate to deal with, without all this from his son”.
