Zara Tindall will be marking major milestone in her career as King Charles’s niece is set to take on her latest competition.
The Princess Royal’s daughter takes after her mother in her love for sports, especially the equestrian sport. Like Anne, she has competed in the Olympics, and brought home a silver medal as part of Team GB’s at the London 2012 Games.
This time, Zara will be competing in the Bramham International Horse Trials in West Yorkshire, on her horses, Showtime and Class Affair, via Hello!
Since the competition takes place on Thursday, Zara and husband Mike Tindall’s three school-going children – Mia, Lena and Lucas – will be missing in the audience.
While they would miss cheering on their mother, previously the children have made plenty of appearances during the competitions.
The update comes just a day after Mike Tindall hinted that the couple would be moving to Australia after a big announcement amid talks about how Zara feels about royal roles.
Mike, who was a former rugby star, revealed that he was planning a trip to Down Under as he was listed as the co-founder and sporting director of the huge new sporting competition, dubbed R360.
It is uncertain if the move would be a permanent one with his family or just a temporary work trip. Meanwhile, the move doesn’t seem like a far-fetched idea since Zara does not want to be “limited” when it comes to different work opportunities, per royal author Robert Jobson.
This also comes just weeks after Zara made a rare comment about the “struggles” of being a royal family member.
King Charles’ favourite niece seemingly shared insight into the growing tensions between the monarch and his estranged son, Prince Harry.
“It is very hard to see from the outside but, 100 per cent, it is a family that is still going through the same struggles other people do,” she said.
“Whether they are relationships, obviously it is very easy to see every day. We’re still very supportive of each other.”
