Meghan Markle recalls Archie's debut at Windsor Castle with Prince Harry
The Duchess of Sussex wonders 'where did the time go' as Archie and Lilibet turn 6 and 4 respectively
Meghan Markle can’t believe how fast her and Prince Harry’s children are growing up.
On the June 3 episode of her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, the Duchess of Sussex opened up about the early days of motherhood, recalling the moment she and Prince Harry introduced their firstborn, Prince Archie, to the world.
“Archie turns six tomorrow,” she said during a candid chat with guest Tina Knowles. “Where did the time go? I remember carrying him out there, and I was just like, he is now six years old.”
The brief but emotional reference was to the couple’s 2019 photo call at Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Hall.
At the time, Meghan and Harry broke with royal tradition by skipping the usual hospital photo op, instead unveiling Archie two days after his birth in a more private setting.
“We had his birthday party yesterday,” Meghan added, suggesting the episode was recorded a day before Archie’s May 6 birthday. “But you look up, and really, I think everything is in constant fluid motion.”
Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020 and relocating to California, Harry and Meghan have welcomed their daughter Princess Lilibet, who turned four on June 4.
To mark her birthday, Meghan released multiple new photos, including one of Prince Harry cradling baby Lilibet.
