Meghan Markle seemingly received a surprising proposition from Victoria Beckham as the former Spice Girl decided to make a major sacrifice.
As the royal rift in the past year escalated, Meghan had been trying to make amends with Victoria but the reports suggested that David and his sons, including Brooklyn, were still furious with the Sussexes.
Victoria and David are now going through their own family feud as insiders report “strained” ties with eldest son, Brooklyn, and his wife Nicola Peltz.
Sources claimed that Meghan had plans to make a new ‘Fab Four’ team with Brooklyn and Nicola. After Harry and Meghan’s engagement, the term ‘Fab Four’ was used for Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Sussexes.
Insiders reveal that the fashion designer made a furious phone call to Meghan to not fan the flames of rift in her family.
“Victoria begged Meghan not to meddle in the situation,” they told Closer Magazine. She also pleaded that if the Sussexes “saw Brooklyn and Nicola again” they should “try to mediate and explain how desperate they are to reconcile.”
In return, Meghan “assured” Victoria that she would do it. Sources stated that Victoria is not a fan of the arrangement but knows that this is one of those situations where she’ll have to “keep her enemies close”.
The source said that if it means “befriending Meghan again to get her son back, she’s willing to do whatever it takes.”
Prince Harry and Prince William shared close ties with David Beckham for years and the Beckhams were even invited to both weddings of King Charles’s sons. However, Harry had a falling out with the former football captain’s family after Meghan accused Victoria of leaking private details about them to the press.
Livid by the accusations, the Beckham’s cut ties with the Sussexes while remained friendly with the Prince and Princess of Wales. In fact, the King is understandably fond of David as he is now the ambassador of the King’s Foundation.
Now, a family feud has plagued the Beckhams. Brooklyn and Nicola were notably absent from David’s 50th birthday earlier this month. Days later, it was revealed that the young couple met with Meghan and Harry where they bonded over their family rifts during a dinner in Montecito.
While Brooklyn was reportedly angry with the Sussexes for what they did to their parents, it seems that he may have switched alliance. With Meghan’s word to Victoria, it remains to be seen if the Sussexes will build bridges or end up burning them.
