Meghan Markle shares emotional moment as she discusses fathers and failure

Meghan Markle was seen in an emotional conversation with her guest Sara Blakely, the founder of SPANX, during the final episode of Meghan's podcast Confessions of a Female Founder. 

Sara spoke about the significant role her father played in shaping her mindset and entrepreneurial journey.

In response, Meghan, 43 whose relationship with her own father, Thomas Markle Senior, 80 has long been estranged, expressed admiration for the influence Blakely's father had.

'I remember reading, or may be you told me, that when you are younger your dad would ask around the dinner table What did you fail at this week? What did you fail at today? if you failed, you at least tried, you tried beautifully, and it does not matter if you failed.' 

While Meghan and her father have been distant in recent years, she has previously acknowledged the important role Thomas Senior played in her early life.
