Meghan Markle reflects on painful pregnancy moments as royal
Meghan Markle shares pregnancy struggles as a royal
Meghan Markle sat down for the final episode of the podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder with Sara Blakely, the founder of SPANX.
During their candid conversation chat, the Duchess opened up about the physical challenges she faced while pregnant-particularly wearing uncomfortable high-heeled shoes at royal events.
Meghan admitted she gained 65 pounds during both of her pregnancies, which made wearing stilettos even more difficult.
Reflecting on her experience, she shared: 'I mean I gained 65 pounds with both pregnancies, and you are in these five inch'- I always wear my five-inch pointy-toed stilettos-they are like 'You have the most enormous bump, and your tiny little ankles are bracing themselves in these high heels.'
'But all of my weight was in the front, so you are just going 'How on earth am I not juts tipping, you know, face-planting. I am always clinging very closely to my husband like 'Please do not let me fall!'
It is worth noting that Meghan was still a working royal during her first pregnancy with Archie and regularly attended high-profile events, often in formal attire that included heels.
