During her visit, the Princess Royal met with local authorities and representatives from emergency services who played a vital role in managing the immediate response to the shocking event, which left several people injured, including children.

While in Liverpool, Princess Anne also met with Liam Robinson, the Leader of Liverpool City Council, who had earlier expressed sorrow, stating the incident 'cast a very dark shadow over what had been a joyous day for the city.'
She further spoke with Chris Barrett from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, who shared insights into the emergency efforts carried out in response to the tragedy.
