According to police, four children were among the injured
Princess Anne paid a visit to the Royal Liverpool University Hospital today to personally thank emergency responders after Monday's tragic incident, in which a car rammed into crowds during Liverpool FC's Premier League victory parade.
During her visit, the Princess Royal met with local authorities and representatives from emergency services who played a vital role in managing the immediate response to the shocking event, which left several people injured, including children.
According to police, four children were among the injured. One child and one adult sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment.
While in Liverpool, Princess Anne also met with Liam Robinson, the Leader of Liverpool City Council, who had earlier expressed sorrow, stating the incident 'cast a very dark shadow over what had been a joyous day for the city.'
She further spoke with Chris Barrett from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, who shared insights into the emergency efforts carried out in response to the tragedy.
