During their regal appearance at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, May 18, the duo explained how parenthood has influenced their lives completely.
The 34-year-old actress, who also shares a three-year-old son Cy with her husband Cooke Maroney said, "Having children changes everything. It changes your whole life. It's brutal and incredible.
"Not only do they go into every decision of if I'm working, where I'm working, when I'm working — they've taught me.”
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old Twilight star didn’t hold back from detailing his experience as a first-time dad as he quickly chimed in, adding, "I think, in the most unexpected ways, having a baby gives you the biggest trove of energy and inspiration afterward. It's a different kind of energy.
"Ever since she was born, it's reinvigorated the way I approach work, and yeah, you're a completely different person the next day."
For the unversed, the cast and crew of the highly-anticipated film received a nine-minute-long standing ovation at the annual event in France.
