Emily Osment weighs in on Georgie, Mandy future in season 2
Emily Osment teases ‘Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage’ upcoming challenges in new season
Emily Osment teased the journey ahead of Georgie and Mindy in the upcoming season two of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.
The Young Sheldon spin-off series, based on Georgie Cooper's (Montana Jordan) married life with Mindy (Emily Osment), ended its first season with mounting tension between the couple.
As season one concluded, Mandy was hiding that fact her ex-boyfriend Scott is now her boss, while Georgie faced financial issues after buying Jim’s tire shop without consulting her. The purchase pushed the couple further into deb, forcing both of them to take full-time jobs leaving very little time for each other.
During conversation with TVLine, Osment revealed whether the couple will be able to keep their relationship intact.
"Trust is number one, and the largest things people fight about in a marriage are trust and money," she said.
"We’re dealing with both of those right now, and then there's this other layer which is that she’s been keeping a secret from him, so we have three back-to-back things that could potentially put a wrench into their marriage, and we’ll see in season 2 whether they can stick it out."
With both Georgie and Mandy now working a full-time job to make the ends meet, the Hannah Montana star added, "It’s going to make it more difficult for them to find time to be a couple."
The potential of their unravelling marriage wouldn't come as a surprise, given the title of show as well as its parent series, The Big Bang Theory, which already established that Georgie had been married twice.
The Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage is returning for season two. While CBS had not unveiled the release date, it confirmed that it will air in late 2025 or early 2026.
