Dan Reynolds ends up getting role in 'Ransom Canyon' after set visit

Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons, surprised his fans with an unexpected cameo he got in Ransom Canyon after visiting his girlfriend, actress Minka Kelly, on movie set.

The 37-year-old singer was just visiting his girlfriend on set when producers and writers noticed him and asked him to take on a small role.

However, Dan revealed that What was supposed to be a quick stop turned into a surprise opportunity for him.

His lover Minka shared with PEOPLE: "He came to visit and everyone, all the producers and writers, just naturally fell in love with him, like you do. It's easy to love Dan.

"They just asked one day, 'Do you think he'd play this character?' And I just was like, 'Let me ask him'. And he was such a good sport and down to play."

Dan and Minka, who began dating back in 2022, didn’t share any scenes. Instead, Dan found himself working with her two on-screen love interests Josh Duhamel and Eoin Macken, marking a totally unexpected cameo moment.
