Prince William knocks Harry to floor once again
Prince William's move seems to be a reaction to Harry's statement against the Firm
Prince William has seemingly delivered another blow to Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle after the couple's recent stunts.
In a surprising development amid feud between two royal brothers, a royal aide, who filed bullying claim against the Duchess of Sussex, has been given a major role in the future monarch's key environmental mission.
Jason Knauf - who worked for Prince William, Prince Harry and their wives - has been appointment as new CEO at The Earthshot Prize.
The announcement comes after Prince Harry's statement about his royal exit and security surfaced online, in which he revealed his worst fear. The Duke reportedly believes that his UK security was removed to stop him from quitting the royal job.
A source close to the royals claims: "The move seems to be a reaction to Harry's statement against the Firm.
"It might not be a calculating move, but a blow to Harry and his wife Meghan."
The sources went on: "With this decision, William has once again knocked Harry to floor."
In a statement on April 17, The Earthshot Prize, founded by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in October 2020, announced Knauf's new role, noting that the current CEO Hannah Jones will depart this summer after serving four years.
Lavishing praise on the new CEO, William said: "As we look ahead to the future of The Prize and the urgent work needed to scale more inspiring solutions to the world’s greatest challenges, I look forward to working with Jason to chart the course for the next five years of the Earthshot Prize and beyond."
William also lauded outgoing CEO Hannah, saying: "As the first CEO, Hannah has built The Prize into a world class organisation with an incredible team."
It is to mention here that, in October 2018, Knauf filed a complaint that accused Harry's wife of bullying, claiming she drove two personal assistants out of the household and undermined the confidence of a third staff member.
In reaction to the accusation, a spokesperson for the Meghan and Harry said the Duchess was "saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have experienced pain and trauma."
Prince Harry, in his memoir Spare (2023), revealed a 2019 argument with his elder brother William over Meghan, during which the Prince of Wales allegedly knocked him to the floor.
Meghan is also receiving backlash for using her former Your Royal Highness (HRH) title, despite being “banned” from using it by the monarchy.
The Duchess Meghan, who recently launched her new podcast, took to Instagram on April 15 to share a message from a politician who addressed her as "Your Royal Highness."
